At Home Instead Okehampton, we support older adults with thoughtful, one-to-one visits that help them stay safe, independent and comfortable at home. Whether you're returning to work, semi-retired, or just looking for something meaningful to do, this role offers flexibility, purpose, and connection.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your visits might include:
Companionship and a good chat over a cup of tea
Help with personal care — washing, dressing, or medication reminders
Preparing a light meal or helping with a bit of shopping
Supporting confidence and mobility at home or out in the community
Simply being a kind, familiar face that makes someone’s day a little brighter
What Makes This Role Different
We don’t do rushed calls or pack your schedule wall-to-wall.
You’ll have time to care properly, be matched with regular clients, and feel truly valued for the support you give.
What You’ll Get from Us
£16.25 to £16.75 per hour, based on client contact time and 15 minutes of paid travel time between visits
Paid mileage at 40p per mile
Full paid training – no previous care experience needed

You’ll Need:
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
A calm, caring nature and a desire to help others
