Responsibilities
Provide Expertise:
As a
Principal Environmental Consultant , manage environmental inputs to EIA screening and scoping reports, environmental assessments/Environmental Statements, and supporting documents, including the technical review of specialist chapters. Involve yourself across project life cycles from strategy development to construction and operation, across multiple consenting regimes (DCO, TCPA, TWA, hybrid Bill, etc.).
Ensure Quality:
Deliverables to high-quality standards in line with quality management procedures.
Project Management:
Manage resources and budgets with appropriate support.
Collaborate:
Work within integrated design teams to improve environmental outcomes, identify impact avoidance/mitigation solutions, and opportunities for benefits.
Client Contact:
Manage client relationships and internal supply teams.
Growth:
Promote AECOM’s environmental services, identify and lead business development opportunities, and develop proposals.
Qualifications

To apply for this role, demonstrate experience in managing and coordinating multidisciplinary environmental inputs to infrastructure projects. You should also have:
Experience of providing consultancy services
Excellent understanding of EIA processes, environmental assessment methods and applicable planning legislation
Detailed understanding of relevant consenting and licensing regimes
Confidence engaging with a wide variety of stakeholder groups
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, coordinating inputs from specialist technical teams
Excellent verbal and report writing skills, including technical reviewing
Project management skills, including programming, staff resource management and budget management
Degree in a relevant environmental discipline (Masters preferred) and an appropriate professional membership
Willingness to travel
The following would be a bonus:
Chartered Environmentalist status
Interest in line management duties and staff mentoring
Experience of the DCO and/or TWAO consenting regimes
