About the role:

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Regulatory Performance & Compliance Coordinator to join our team based in Exeter. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and, in return, will receive a competitive salary plus a great range of benefits.

In this vital role, you will help maintain and improve South West Water’s regulatory performance information, ensuring our drinking water remain compliant with OFWAT standards and our company commitments. You will monitor asset performance, coordinate evidence for compliance, and support accurate and timely regulatory reporting.

You will also play a key part in improving compliance processes, preparing for quarterly performance reviews, and supporting the delivery of key outcomes and performance commitments (ODIs) for AMP7.

What you’ll be doing:

    • Maintain and improve regulatory information to support and enhance supply interruptions, leakage, and mains repairs.
    • Coordinate the DG2 low pressure register and provide accurate customer information when GSS payments are due.
    • Prepare and validate performance data to ensure OFWAT consistency and compliance requirements are met.
    • Coordinate project activities related to improving supply interruptions, leakage, and mains repairs performance.
    • Liaise between multi-disciplinary teams to ensure robust data collection, documentation, and evidence for compliance.
    • Document reporting processes and produce flow charts that show data flows between systems for audit and assurance purposes.
    • Raise purchase orders, monitor project spend, and contribute to cost-benefit analysis for improvement projects.
    • Resolve compliance and reporting queries effectively, escalating when necessary.
    • Contribute actively to group discussions and meetings to support a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

What we are looking for:

    • 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft suite, especially strong Excel and Word skills.
    • Proven experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment with technical and field-based staff.
    • Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
    • Good background in technical problem-solving and a strong understanding of compliance or regulatory processes.
    • Effective organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work on your own initiative.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to present performance information clearly.
    • Strong report writing skills and the ability to document processes to meet audit requirements.
    • Self-motivated and committed to personal development and delivering business results.
    • Ability to build rapport quickly and work effectively with stakeholders across the business.
