An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced pharmacist to join our Outpatient Pharmacy Service. The service is operated by SDH Developments Ltd, which is a limited company wholly owned by Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. The service has been running since 2013.
Applications will be considered from pharmacists with a hospital or a community pharmacy background.
The Outpatient Pharmacy Service provides medicines to all outpatients seen at Torbay Hospital and those seen at other off-site locations. Currently the service dispenses approximately 80,000 items per annum with a value of more than £10m. These medicines are given directly to patients or are transported to the patients’ home via the SDH delivery service.
The Responsible Pharmacist is responsible for supporting the delivery of a high quality and efficient pharmacy service to outpatients attending the Trust’s outpatients department in line with the principles published by the GPhC.
SDH Developments Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust and is responsible for providing Outpatient Pharmacy Services to Trust Outpatients.
