Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Branch Stock Controller to join our team at Barnstaple.
The Role
We have a vacancy for a branch Stock Controller in our RGB Barnstaple Branch in this role you will have the responsibility to support the branch manager in maximising sales and profit for the branch, by taking responsibility for all aspects of branch stock control management and managing the branch stock profile in liaison with the group stock control team.
The Requirements
Provide customers with advice and guidance on the selection of products
Maximise sales using linked selling and add on
Have overall responsibility for all weekly PPI checks in line with company policy
Complete the inputting of all stock adjustments making Branch Management aware of significant or suspicious variations
Manage branch stock in line with min / max procedure
All stock in branch must be in line with company preferred suppliers
Take responsibility for merchandising
Maintain pricing and POS in all areas of the branch to ensure we meet all legislation requirements
Ensure all customer special orders and directs are placed with preferred suppliers
Be aware of competitor and customers’ activities to identify commercial threats and sales opportunities
Support a strategic plan that ensures all financial targets are achieved for branch and company
Raise the awareness and profile of the building offer across the business.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and supply partners.
Develop product knowledge by attending supplier events and in house training via IBMG coach
Use The Source to ensure you keep up to date with all relevant information for your area
Person Specification
Solid understanding of the Building industry
Appropriate IT skills
self driven and self motivated to drive own performance
Confident and competent communicator
The Hours
Week:1 Monday to Friday 07:30-16:30
Week:2 Monday to Friday 07:30-16:30 Saturday 08:00-12:00
