Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship - Lustleigh Orchard Pre-school and Playgroup

Shoots Training are currently recruiting for a passionate, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Lustleigh Orchard Preschool and Playgroup as a Level 3 Childcare Apprentice.

Lustleigh Orchard is based in the beautiful, small rural village of Lustleigh.  Almost exactly half way between Bovey Tracey and Moretonhampsted.

We are based in the wonderfully large, light and airy Village Hall which offers dedicated play and development spaces for our Acorn, Saplings and Oaks groups. 

Directly adjacent to the Village Hall is the community orchard where we have a custom-built, secure Nature Garden where children are encouraged to explore and learn through hands on experiences in nature.  We spend as much time outside in this space as possible.

This is an exciting opportunity to complete a Level 3 Childcare apprenticeship within a friendly team at a fantastic setting.

Your roles and responsibilities would include;

• Successful candidate will work towards becoming a key member of staff with allocation of key children
• Must be able to work as a team and work on their own initiative
• Assist with planning and implementing the day's activities
• Be able to be a communicate well to be able to give feedback to the parents on the progress of the children and to support the children's development needs
• To further support the team and the setting with ideas to help enhance the learning journeys of the children there
• To undertake basic housekeeping with setting up the room and tidying away at the end of the day
• Must love working outdoors

Hours 

• You will required to work 30 hours per week with shift patterns to be discussed between the settings openings times of 08:00-16:30 Monday- Thursday

Requirements;

• To obtain a clear DBS
• Willing to work outside
• Team player
