The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to lead the full spectrum of HR operations. This role is instrumental in fostering a people-first culture, supporting both site-based and office teams, and ensuring best-in-class HR practices.
As our HR Manager, you’ll oversee recruitment, onboarding, development, wellbeing, employee relations, compliance, and strategic HR planning across the business. This is a hands-on, high-impact opportunity to work closely with leadership and directly shape the future of our workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and optimise HR systems and processes across the business
- Ensure legal compliance and alignment with TMS values
- Manage full-cycle recruitment and inclusive talent acquisition
- Deliver positive onboarding/offboarding experiences
- Lead employee wellbeing and engagement initiatives
- Support performance and development planning
- Handle employee relations with fairness, empathy, and professionalism
- Oversee subcontractor compliance in line with company and legal standards
- Partner with leadership on strategic workforce planning
- Line-manage and support HR team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field (CIPD Level 5+ preferred)
- Strong experience in HR management, ideally in construction, marine, or engineering sectors
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
- Experience with HRIS and digital tools
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated success in managing change and driving positive culture
- Willingness to travel to UK-based sites
