About the Role

As Learning & Development Partner, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our learning strategy across the business. Acting as a trusted consultant and strategic partner to the Learning & Development Lead and wider team, you’ll work closely with stakeholders at all levels to identify learning needs, advise impactful solutions, and drive a culture of continuous development.

This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll be just as comfortable facilitating a management workshop as you are consulting on learning needs or designing content. You’ll bring curiosity, challenge, and creativity to everything you do- helping us elevate learning across the organisation.

This role will be based in Exeter or Bristol but there will be occasional travel between sites across the business including Bournemouth and Redhill.

What You'll Be Doing:

    • Learning Operations & Experience Support
    • Provide high-quality operational support for learning activities, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for learners.

    • Learning Design & Facilitation
    • Design and deliver engaging, learner-centric content across multiple formats: in-person, virtual, digital, and social learning.
    • Facilitate high impact learning sessions, including leadership development and behavioural skills programmes.
    • Support the redesign and delivery of Manager and Aspiring Manager programmes, ensuring relevance, inclusivity, and measurable outcomes.

    • Learning Consultancy & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build strong relationships with business leaders and People Partners to understand capability needs and co-create learning solutions.
    • Lead and facilitate Learning Needs Analyses (LNA/TNA) to identify gaps and recommend targeted interventions.

    • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
    • Stay informed on learning trends, tools, and innovations, bringing fresh thinking to Pennon’s learning offer.
    • Support the Learning & Development Lead in delivering strategic projects and embedding a learning culture across the Group.

What We're Looking For:

    • Proven experience in a learning and development role, ideally within a complex or operational environment.
    • Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills- able to influence, challenge, and build trust at all levels.
    • Confident facilitator with experience delivering leadership or management development programmes and utilising multiple formats (in-person/ online/ social).
    • Comfortable working in both operational and corporate environments, adapting style and approach accordingly.
    • Experience with digital learning tools and platforms is desirable.

    • Desired Qualifications
    • Professional qualification in Learning and Development or Instructional Design (e.g., CIPD, ATD, TAP, or equivalent)
    • Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
