Are you a skilled MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) Technician looking for your next career move? We’re looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our Exeter bodyshop, delivering high-quality vehicle repairs across a wide range of makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles.

About the Role

As an MET Technician, you'll play a vital role in restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. From diagnostics to reassembly, you’ll ensure every repair meets the highest standards for safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanical & Electrical Repairs – Carry out precise repairs and replacements of mechanical, electrical, and trim components, including ADAS calibration and wheel alignment.

  • Vehicle Dismantling – Safely and efficiently dismantle vehicles to prepare them for repair work.

  • Diagnostics & Fault-Finding – Use diagnostic equipment and your technical knowledge to identify issues accurately.

  • Parts Management – Organise and manage the ordering and handling of replacement parts.

  • Reassembly & Quality Checks – Rebuild vehicles to manufacturer specifications, ensuring repairs meet quality and safety standards.

  • Collaboration – Work closely with your team to keep repair progress on track and ensure a smooth workflow.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Proven experience as an MET Technician, ideally including work with electric and hybrid vehicles.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical fault diagnostics, ADAS, and alignment systems.

  • Attention to Detail: High standards of workmanship and the ability to follow manufacturer guidelines precisely.

  • Efficiency: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively.

  • Team Player: Able to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

  • Health & Safety Awareness: Committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant workspace.
