Nursery Housekeeper/Cook

Overview

We are looking for a reliable and proactive Nursery Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the nursery, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for children, staff, and families. T

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve children’s nursery teas in line with dietary requirements and allergy policies.

• Tidy and clean the kitchen area, including washing up and ensuring surfaces are sanitised.

• Load and unload washing machines and tumble dryers, assisting with laundry duties as needed.

• Refill essential supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet rolls across nursery areas.

• Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of communal areas.

• Work as part of a supportive team, while also being confident to work independently and manage own tasks.

• Follow nursery health & safety, safeguarding, and hygiene procedures at all times.

Person Specification

• Reliable, punctual, and well-organised.

• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.

• Previous experience in housekeeping, catering, or a similar role is desirable but not essential.
