Are you an RVN or an experienced SVN looking for a new role?
We are looking for a new team member to complement our dedicated nursing team.
Who are we?
We are a busy mixed animal practice in mid Devon that has been established in the local community for over 60 years, and we pride ourselves on our client and patient care.
We are proud to be RCVS accredited and have achieved ISFM Silver status. Our client base is ever growing as are the services we offer, and we have all the equipment and mod cons you would expect, with a new lab setup currently being fitted including blood gas equipment.
One of our Clinical Directors is completing a surgical certificate while the other is finishing up orthopaedic training, so our Nursing Team really get to use their nursing skills, and we see lots of interesting cases.
We have a large, friendly and supportive team. For those who enjoy socialising we regularly get together for team meals and outings. While we’re dedicated to giving our very best every day, we also truly value and enjoy our well-earned downtime.
We are lucky to be situated in a beautiful area of the country - close to Exeter, but also near Dartmoor National Park, so there is something for everyone!
The Role:
Salary – dependent on skills and experience.
This is a full-time role – although hours are negotiable. We are open to hearing what would work for you.
The position involves participation in all areas of patient care but does also have the variability to enjoy speciality of certain areas. With a great track record in student training and exam success, an experienced SVN would certainly be considered.
We provide our own OOH cover and are proud to do so and this role would involve participation in the on-call rota for weeknights and weekend which is shared fairly between the team on a 1:6 basis.
On call is from home, you don’t have to take phones or check patients, purely be available to assist the vets if any emergencies need to be seen – for which you are paid overtime for any time spent in practice.
