Location: Exeter (with ability to work from home two days per week following a successful probation period)
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £36,000.00 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00 with a 1 hour lunch break

About the Role:
As a Software Developer, you’ll contribute to the administration, development, and enhancement of our in-house systems—helping to drive profitability and meet evolving business needs. Working closely with stakeholders at all levels, you’ll ensure our systems are not only functional and secure, but also future-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain in-house software using Visual Studio, MS-SQL, C#, .NET MVC 4.x, .NET 8, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Entity Framework.
- Support the full software development lifecycle—from design and development to testing and deployment
- Deliver excellent internal customer service, offering user support and technical guidance across departments.

Identify opportunities for system improvements that support company goals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous commercial experience, working with a variety of languages
- Experience working with the Microsoft tech stack (.NET, C#, SQL Server).
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of Autoline (Dealership Management System) would be an advantage
- Ability to manage projects independently or as part of a team.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with attention to detail.
- Willingness to take on a variety of tasks to support broader team and company objectives.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Exeter: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
