The Role
Join our team at Bideford as a Yard Operative, where you will play a vital role in maintaining our yard and supporting daily operations. As a Yard Operative, you will be responsible for handling and organizing yard stocks, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, assisting customers with product inquiries, and ensuring the yard area is clean and safe. This position reports directly to the Yard Manager and requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
• Handle and maintain yard stocks efficiently
• Load and unload customer, supplier, and company delivery vehicles
• Assist customers by providing information on stock availability and product ranges. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard area in compliance with Health & Safety regulations
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the yard.
• Support other departments as needed to contribute to overall company success.
Requirements
• Strong communication skills with a customer-centric approach
• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude towards tasks
Hours
Week:1 Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00
Week:2 Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 Saturday 08:00-12:00
